Online petition for dismissing Mehriban Aliyeva from her UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador title

As on February 18, 2021 more than 36300 have signed this petition. Below is a text and the names of 101 famous public figures, who signed the petition first. Though few months passed from starting this online petition it is still actual since Azerbaijan refuses to allow UNESCO mission to come to the place.

The group composed of academic researchers and clergy was formed in the aftermath of the 2020 Artsakh war, with the blessing of Diocesan Primate Bishop Daniel Findikyan. With the surrender of territories in Artsakh containing numerous Armenian monasteries, churches, cultural sites, and monuments, the working group aims to advocate for the preservation of these Armenian treasures, while informing the public of their historical importance.

Armenian Academy of Sciences asks Putin, Biden, Macron to assist UNESCO monitoring in Karabakh

The threats of ethnic cleansing or a fact of it?

However, there is one aspect that attracts attention. The texts of Resolutions or Appeals diminish the qualifications and level of illegal acts of Azerbaijan (and Turkey). For example, it is often said about the threats of ethnic cleansing by Azerbaijan against the peaceful Armenian population. Although since September 27, 2020, ethnic cleansing has been carried out and do constitute a fact.

The Inter-State Application against Azerbaijan with the ECHR

John Eibner’s relentless call for Christian Solidarity

Statement by the Foreign Ministry of Armenia on the 31st anniversary of the anti-Armenian massacres in Baku

Truth and Accountability: Ethnic Cleansing in the Modern Age in Artsakh
