Azerbaijan is a genocidal and terrorist state where anti-Armenian fascism and murder are propagated at the state level. Even during the Soviet period, the murder propaganda was spread not only in Azerbaijan, but in various places in Armenia, including among Azerbaijanis living in Artsakh. For years I have documented and published dozens of facts about the anti-Armenian fascism of the artificial state of Azerbaijan, including what my parents told me about the genocide in Sumgait. In November 2020, I met Elanora Tsatryan in Yerevan as part of the regular fact-finding work, whօ presented a series of episodes about the murderous propaganda of Azerbaijanis living in Masis during the Soviet years. Below we present an excerpt from Elanora Tsatryan’s story.

            ‘It was 1970, I sang a lullaby to make my son fall asleep, saying, “Sleep, my son, so that you grow up to be a good person. At that time my neighbour, an Azerbaijani, came in and asked me if you lull the children to sleep with such lullabies. I answered the question in the affirmative, whereupon Gulnara told me that we do not sing such lullabies. Instead, we say, “Sleep so that you grow up and kill an Armenian with an axe,” and at home we give our children wooden axes and teach them to kill an Armenian on dolls”.’ This is just one example of how even Azerbaijanis once living in Armenian settlements preached murder. It is those who grew up under these preachings who commit genocides and war crimes. These facts clearly prove that Azerbaijan never had and never will have a peace agenda.
