Summary

A full-fledged political and legal assessment of the crimes committed by Azerbaijan, exposure of their roots and goals is the most important topic: in the image of this state, in the understanding and presentation of the world, in the world’s perception of the problems associated with it, incl. in the resolution of the so-called Karabakh conflict. The article presents the main factors characterizing the low level of the state of this topic, and the reasons that contribute to this. Based on the works and concepts of prominent scientists, the author has held many meetings, round tables, wrote dozens of publications over the years. He presented a retrospective picture of the development of this topic in recent years with a conditional division into stages according to the degree of consolidation of actors and efforts. The author proposes four priority structural steps for implementation, in which the public organization of sociological and political science initiatives “Khachmeruk” (Crossroad) and its partners are ready to participate. The author’s optimism is based on the fact that the chosen path of consolidation continues, since it is the main key in promoting the theme of a full-fledged international political and legal assessment of the Armenian Genocide in Azerbaijan.
