Recently, while in Shoushi, the President of Azerbaijan, the country’s chief forger I. Aliev, on whose instructions false rumors have been spread in the past that Armenians allegedly destroyed Azerbaijani cultural monuments by stopping at one of the local mosques, once publicly boasted that Armenians had destroyed 64 of 67 mosques in Nagorno-Karabakh. The news, which has absolutely nothing to do with reality, has also appeared in other publications that encourage the false propaganda of the Azerbaijanis.In view of the above, we have to answer the liar who turns the reality upside down, based only on the real facts. Thus, in the territory of Nagorno Karabakh itself or the former autonomous region, which included five regions: Hadrout, Martouni, Askeran, Martakert, Shoushi, there are mosques and madrasas only in the city of Shoushi (14) and in the nearby village of Malibeklu (1). 15 pieces. This fact was registered in 1988 by the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan. In the list of cultural monuments of “protected history” approved by the decision No. 145 of April 27, 1988. As for the mosques in the vicinity of Nagorno-Karabakh, their number reaches 12, which are distributed as follows: Kashatagh (Lachin) region-1, Kashunik (Kubatlu) region-2, Kovsakan (Zangelan) region -1, Jabrail region-1, Fizuli region-2, Akna (Aghdam) region -6, one of which is a converted mosque. Let us pay attention, without a single shot, about 2000 square kilometers of Karvachar (Kyalbajar) handed over to Mr. Aliev. km area, there is no mosque at all. And this is in the case when there are about thirty monasteries and churches in that region. Thus, in total, there are 27 mosques around Nagorno Karabakh.A question arises. Where did the above-mentioned 67 mosques come from? And even if we add to those 27 the number of mosques in the territory of the Republic of Nakhichevan, which are considered mosques and registered by the above-mentioned decision of the Government of Azerbaijan and taken under state protection, we will get only 51 mosques. Maybe Mr. Aliev also meant the mosques of the regions outside the territory of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic? In any case, the lie remains a lie. By deceiving or manipulating, in fact, an attempt is made at a high state level to mislead the international community, justifying the vandalism of Armenian historical and cultural monuments, both in the past and recently. As for the preservation of mosques, it should be noted that they are not in a much worse condition than Armenian churches. As for the half-destroyed or damaged mosques, we can clearly say that they have nothing to do with the current war, they are the result of the previous war.During that time, many Armenian monuments, churches, monasteries, etc. were destroyed and damaged, regardless of nationality in the Artsakh Republic, along with Armenian monuments, Muslim monuments were registered and certified, including mosques, mausoleums and cemeteries. The state did its best to clean and improve them, and the Upper Mosque in Shoushi was restored.Yes, Artsakh has done its best to improve the protection of Muslim monuments by restoring the above-mentioned mosque in Shushi.
